How much will a repair cost?

Everyday wear is never charged. For damage, what you pay depends on your tier. We collect it, repair it and bring it back.

Not included

What’s not included

Two things no tier includes, not even Cinch Max.

  • A phone screen showing a purple padlock, locked after being reported lost

    Loss or theft

Outside every tier. Report it to the police and to us within 48 hours; we’ll lock the device and talk through your options.

  • A phone beside a third-party repair box, with a screwdriver, a pry tool and tweezers

    Repairs by someone else

If someone other than a Cinch-approved repairer repairs your device, you purchase it at the quoted purchase price.

Also excluded: deliberate damage or negligence, devices returned with an account lock still active, accessories and device box, and damage that was already there when your subscription started. Fair wear and tear is never charged, at any tier.

If something breaks

How to make a service request

Reporting damage in your Cinch account
  1. Report it in your Cinch account

Sign in on the Cinch website, go to your subscription and select Report damage, and file it within 7 days. You get an acknowledgement the same day.

  2. Tell us what happened

Tell us what happened in your account. Photos help, but they’re optional. We assess it within 2 working days.

  3. We confirm what you pay

You approve the amount in your account before any work starts. This assumes we can repair it. If we can’t, your tier’s rule for beyond repair applies.

  4. Repair

Within 7 working days from approval. Track it in your account. On Cinch Max, we can swap your phone so you’re not left without one.

How charges are set

Charges are in SGD and include GST. On Cinch Plus and Cinch Max, a flat repair fee applies to each repair within your entitlement in place of the repair charge. The fee varies by device type, is higher for Samsung foldable devices, and is higher for other damage on tablets and laptops, as shown. Fees are as set out in these Terms. Charges are subject to periodic revision in line with repair partners’ prevailing rates.

The final charge is confirmed following diagnostic assessment. Where more than one type of damage is found, each charge applies as set out in this schedule. Where screen and housing damage occur together, the combined assembly repair is charged once.

Where a range is shown, the final charge within the range is confirmed on assessment.

Assessed on inspection and confirmed before any repair proceeds. Where the device can be economically repaired, the repair is included at your tier’s repair fee. A device assessed as beyond economic repair is bought out on Core and Cinch Plus. On Cinch Max, a replacement fee applies, banded on the device’s recommended retail price.
